blackberry new phones 2011
According to tech website Gizmodo, on Monday Canadian mobile phone maker company RIM announced via social networking websites Facebook and Twitter that its latest smartphone powered by the seventh version of its operating system will be launched a day after.
The action seems to be a marketing gimmick adopted by the company behind famous BlackBerry series as the very same day, Verizon, the network carrier leaked a video demonstrating the operations of OS 7 powered phone BlackBerry 9930.
Research in Motion officially announced the BlackBerry Bold 9930 back in May, at the same time with the Bold 9900. The two smartphones are pretty much the same, the sole difference being that the 9930 has both GSM / HSDPA and CDMA / Ev-Do connectivity, while the 9900 is a GSM / HSDPA device only.
Naturally, the CDMA / Ev-Do capabilities allow the 9930 to be used on Verizon’s and Sprint’s networks. While neither of the two carriers has announced the Bold 9930, the smartphone has been spotted recently showing off a Verizon intro screen – thus VWZ could introduce the new Bold soon.
Android smartphones are becoming very popular indeed, we would love to know how many would actually purchase the new Motorola Triumph seeing as the new Motorola Droid Bionic is set to release in around 2 weeks time.
The Motorola Triumph is now available to buy via Virgin Mobile USA and Best Buy, both have the same price tag of $299.99. This Android smartphone is exclusive to Virgin Mobile USA customers and can be purchased via major retailers and online.
Over the weekend, a phone that may or may not be Verizon’s upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II device leaked out. The device in question has a slide-out keyboard, 4G LTE capabilities and a release date that might be closer than we think. Well, it appears there is a good chance that this phone might actually be 4G LTE filler before the Motorola Droid Bionic arrives on Verizon, possibly in September.
Here’s the deal. All along we’ve heard August 4th. Evidence has popped up today that again indicates that Walmart and Sam’s Club are still seeing August 4th as a scheduled release date. However, Droid-Life has also heardsomething else.
The Blackberry 9900 Bold Touch is the handset that RIM hope will rekindle the brands name in the smartphone marketplace. Blackberry have always proved popular amongst certain areas but certainly have lacked the appeal held by the Apple iPhone 4 thanks to its simple operating system and attractive looks. So what does this new handset offer us and ultimately how does it shape up against the all conquering iPhone?
In the fast running life, today everyone wants to have a smartphone that allows multiple tasks on the go. BlackBerry the globally renowned company for its unique Blackberry messenger and excellent devices is working hard to offer best smartphones.
The smartphone manufacturer is facing tough competetion these days from companies like Apple, HTC, Google and Samsung. To beat them up and acquire back its lost market share, the company is soon going to introduce some more smartphones in the global market including India very soon.
1. BlackBerry Bold 9900
According to him the BlackBerry 9900 will be launched in about a month. He also went on to say that the Bold 9900 will mark the largest global launching in RIM’s market history. This is enough reason to believe that RIM has gone all in on the Bold 9900. And obviously RIM doesn’t want to leave anything half done with this handset and hence this handset has gone through 491 approval programs and 191 carriers.
It’s not just the Beckhams who are keen on the number seven – RIM has just announced that seven new BlackBerry blowers are on the way.
Speaking at RIM’s annual shareholders meeting, Co-CEO Jim Basillie announced that seven new BlackBerry handsets are on the way.
Basillie says they are due to launch ‘in rapid succession’ and he isn’t mincing is words – they will be arriving within the next couple of months, according to website IntoMobile.
Confirming the dates found on three of the four retailers we investigated yesterday, one of the summer releases will be the BlackBerry 9900, which comes equipped with a 1.2GHz processor, a 2.8-inch touch display and BlackBerry 7.
RIM’s BlackBerry might be on a sustained losing streak against Android and the iPhone around the world but it is still packing in new users in the UK, research company Kantar Worldpanel ComTech has reported.
In the 12 weeks to 12 June, the company increased its UK smartphone market share to an impressive 22.3 percent, making it second only to Android, which has 45.2 percent, and ahead of the iPhone’s 18.3 percent.
Significantly, 85 percent of new BlackBerry sales came from customers that had previously used conventional phone handsets, with the majority of upgraders being women. This could reflect the BlackBerry’s good reputation as a texting device, a mobile application reckoned to be a particular priority for women.
If you’re looking forward to the latest handset from Canadian smartphone specialist Research In Motion (RIM), a confirmed launch date for the upcoming Bold Touch 9900 means you can now get a little more excited.
After tantalising us during the recent Communic Asia Event in Singapore, the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 will officially hit retail shelves on September 15, according to UK mobile operator Three (3).
That date apparently applies to the black version only. A white model is expected to follow a few weeks later.
